Developing potential disease-modifying treatments for epidermolysis bullosa simplex (EBS), a rare genetic skin condition. Lead candidate MP5219 is based on synthetic analogues of ajoene (a garlic metabolite) that activate surrogate keratin expression to compensate for the genetic defect in EBS patients. Raised £750,000 in seed round led by Development Bank of Wales.
