Vaccine manufacturer founded in 1982 by the National Dairy Development Board, still its principal shareholder. It produces human vaccines — diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis, hepatitis B, rabies, measles and MMR — and veterinary biologicals including foot-and-mouth disease vaccine. Three plants: Gachibowli, Karakapatla and Ooty. New Zealand subsidiary Pristine Biologicals.
