CSL Behring is the plasma-derived therapies business of CSL Limited, the Australian-listed group whose own website traces its origins to 1916. Its operating head office is in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, and the group's is in Melbourne. Its country sites publish between twelve and twenty-three products depending on the market, covering normal and hyperimmune immunoglobulins, albumin, coagulation factors VIII, IX and XIII, prothrombin complex, von Willebrand factor complex, fibrinogen, antithrombin III and C1 esterase inhibitor, alongside two recombinant coagulation factors, a monoclonal antibody and a gene therapy. CSL names four CSL Behring plants: Broadmeadows in Australia, Marburg in Germany, Kankakee in the United States and Bern in Switzerland; its own US prescribing information identifies CSL Behring AG, Bern, as manufacturer and CSL Behring LLC, Kankakee, as distributor.
